A Lancing glass workshop with a Sussex reputation.
Brooklands Glass Centre opened on Western Road in 1997. The first job we did was a single splashback for a kitchen on Sompting Road. The most recent one as I write this was a frameless glass balustrade for a sea-front property in Hove.
We are a family business. The team is small enough that everybody answers the phone and big enough that we can run two or three jobs at the same time. We measure, we cut, we toughen, we polish and we fit - the only thing we do not do in-house is the toughening for the very largest panels.

The workshop, the team, the trade reputation and the way we work with customers - in our own words.
The workshop is on Western Road in Lancing, a five minute drive from the A27. We have a CNC cutting bed, a polishing line, a flat-bed mirror cutter, a sandblaster and the usual chop saws and edge grinders. There is a small showroom at the front of the building where you can see splashback colour samples, frameless balustrade fittings, shower enclosure styles and finished mirror examples in person.
The workshop is open Monday to Friday and Saturday morning. There is parking on the road outside and you do not need an appointment for the showroom, although we will be more useful to you if you can give us a heads up before you come in.
A small, named team. The roles you will meet across a typical job:
- Operations & customer enquiries
- Workshop manager (cutting, toughening, polishing)
- Senior glaziers & fitters
- Apprentice glaziers
- Bookkeeping & accounts
Every member of the install team is fully trained and insured. We carry public liability cover up to a level that satisfies most commercial sites. Documentation is available on request.
Most of our work comes from word of mouth. Architects in Brighton, builders in Worthing, kitchen designers in Hove, shopfitters across the Sussex coast. Roughly six in ten of our enquiries come from someone who has used us before or been referred by someone who has.
We follow the relevant building regulations on every project. Where a job needs sign off (for example a balustrade against Document K) we handle that in-house and provide the paperwork as part of the install.
We do not run a high pressure sales operation. If you ask for a quote, you get a quote. If you do not get back to us, we leave you alone. We assume you have other things to be doing and we would rather have you call us back in three months when you are ready than feel pestered into ordering before you are.
We give honest answers about timing. Bespoke glass takes time to make. Toughening alone is a one to two week process for some panel sizes. We tell you the real lead time at quote stage and we beat it where we can.
We give honest answers about cost. If you are picking between two products and one is wildly more expensive, we will tell you whether it is worth it for your job. Sometimes it is. Sometimes it is not.
