A glass splashback is a single sheet of toughened glass painted on the back, fitted to the wall behind a hob, sink or worktop. It wipes clean in seconds, comes in any colour you can name and sits flush to the wall. We measure, paint, toughen and fit splashbacks for kitchens, bathrooms, bars and commercial spaces across Sussex from our Lancing workshop.

We do not buy in pre-painted panels and stick them up. We paint to your reference at the workshop, template the wall ourselves, polish every edge and cut every socket here too. That means the colour is right, the panel fits and the join with your worktop is a hairline.

Behind a hob or cooker
Fully toughened glass handles the heat without issue. We use ceramic hob safe specifications by default.
Full kitchen wall run
The most popular run we make. One panel up to about 3 metres long, joined with a hairline silicone seam where the run is longer.

Behind a basin or as a feature wall in a wet room.
Bars, restaurants and shops
Splashbacks for back-of-bar shelving, behind coffee machines, around till areas.

Colours and finishes
Standard solid colours
Any RAL or Pantone reference, matched at the workshop. The everyday kitchen finish.
Metallic
Silver, copper, bronze or champagne. Adds 15–30% over a standard colour.
Sparkle
Silver, gold or copper sparkle, with reflective particles that catch light.
Satin and shimmer
Softer-finish alternatives to a flat solid colour.
Mirror
Silvered or smoked mirror finishes for feature walls and bar fronts.
Low iron glass
Recommended for whites, pale greys and pastels - no green tint.

Get a free quoteMost kitchen jobs use low iron toughened glass. Standard float glass has a slight green tint that is not noticeable on dark colours but it muddies whites and pastels. We recommend low iron whenever the chosen colour is light.

How the job runs

Site survey
We visit, take photos and measurements and talk through colour, finish and any cut-outs. Free in our regular service area.

Quote and colour match
A written quote that names the glass spec, the paint reference and the lead time. Post us a colour sample if matching a paint or cabinet finish.

Manufacture
Glass cut, painted and toughened at our Lancing workshop. Cut-outs polished and re-toughened where needed. Two to three weeks typical.
04
Install
Half a day for most kitchens. We protect worktops, fit with low-modulus silicone and seal at the worktop and wall units.
05
Sign off
Quick walk-through with you, any snag list resolved on the day.

Frequently asked questions
Common questions about glass splashbacks from our customers across Sussex.
Yes. We use fully toughened glass that is rated for direct contact with hob heat. Toughened glass handles temperatures well above anything a domestic hob produces.
Yes. We match any RAL or Pantone reference and we can colour-match a physical sample. For light colours we recommend low iron glass to avoid the slight green tint that standard float glass has.
Most splashbacks are templated, made and fitted within two to three weeks. Special finishes (sparkle, mirror) can take a touch longer.
Yes. We mark these at the template stage and cut, polish and re-toughen them in the workshop. Make sure your electrician is happy with the planned positions before we template.
We make individual panels up to around 3 metres long, depending on height. Joins on longer runs are a hairline silicone seam, almost invisible against a solid colour. We will plan the joins around fixtures (hob, extractor) where possible.
It can be removed but not normally refitted. The adhesive bond means a panel that comes off usually has to be replaced. Plan around this if you are likely to be moving cabinetry.
