Bring us the measurements. Pop into the workshop at 2 Western Road. Most straight cuts go on the cutting bed while you wait. Polished and bevelled edges take a return visit because the polishing line is a separate process. We cut, polish, bevel, sandblast and toughen all kinds of glass in-house: float, low iron, mirror, laminated, toughened, smoked and bronze. Trade customers are welcome and we run trade accounts where it makes sense.

Our cutting bed handles toughened, laminated, low-iron and mirror up to 12mm. Edge work, flat polish, pencil polish, bevel and sandblast, goes on the polishing line a few feet away. Most jobs are straight from one to the other. Trade customers welcome.

4mm, 6mm and 10mm clear float, cut to size while you wait.
Toughened glass
4mm to 12mm toughened safety glass - cut to size, then heat-treated.
Laminated glass
6.4mm, 6.8mm, 8.8mm and 11.5mm laminates plus structural laminates.
Mirror
4mm and 6mm silver, low iron, smoked and bronze mirror.
Picture, frame & greenhouse
Specialist glass for picture frames, greenhouses and replacement panes.
Sealed units to order
Bespoke double-glazed sealed units cut to your spec.

Edge finishes
Arrissed
A fine bevel removing the sharp factory edge. Standard on most cuts.
Flat polished
Edge ground flat and polished to a mirror finish. Clean and modern.
Pencil polished
Soft rounded edge - safer feel, classic finish for shelves and shower glass.
Mitred polished
45-degree mitre on visible edges - for box-form glass and seamless corner joins.
Bevelled (10–30mm)
Decorative angled bevel widths for mirrors and feature glass.
Sandblasted, frosted, etched
Obscured surface finishes for privacy or design patterns.

Quote on the spot for standard sizes and finishes. Toughened or laminated runs to a lead time we will agree there and then.

Cut and finish
Straight cuts on the cutting bed while you wait. Polished, bevelled or sandblasted edges go on the polishing line, usually a return visit.

Collect or delivery
Most cuts go home with you the same day. Larger pieces we deliver locally.

For straight cuts in standard thicknesses, in most cases yes. We try to keep stock of the popular sheet sizes so a small cut can be done on the spot.
Toughened glass cannot be cut after toughening. We cut to size first, then send for toughening. Lead times for toughened glass typically run one to two weeks.
Yes. Talk to us about a trade account if you order regularly.
Yes. Curves, holes, notches, bevels. Our CNC bed handles most shapes accurately.
Yes. Bring the measurements, we cut, you take it home. We will arris or polish the edges so the glass is safe to handle.
